WORLD LEADING TECHNOLOGY ARRIVING TO AUSTRALIA IN JULY 2022
In April 2022, SRC has launched their first sites in Queensland accepting end-of-life solar panels, SRC is providing a solution to Australia’s growing solar panel waste problem. The next stage in SRC’s national rollout plan is the arrival in June of the first PV recycling plant in Queensland which will recover precious materials from EOL solar panels.
SRC offers a solution and complete compliant end-of-life management process for solar panels.
•Collection of photovoltaic panels.
•Tracking, tracing & Identification of each solar panel.
•Complete recovery of aluminium, copper, glass, plastic, silicon, junction box and cabling.
•Clean technology with high quality material recovery without the use of chemical or heat processing.
•Recovery of different materials instantly ready for reuse in various manufacturing streams
Creating positive economic, social and environmental outcomes.
Developed by Italian consortium, La Mia Energia, this purpose-built clean technology recovers approximately 4,000 tonnes of valuable minerals per annum. The technology is a sealed unit with no environmental emissions. The clean technology separates and recovers the materials using mechanical, electrical & vacuum separation, the process does not damage the valuable materials.
Continuous improvement in recycling and reusing of PV panel materials can will improve the sustainability of the renewable energy with solar energy being 50%.
The solution for end-of-life solar panels will be an integral part of the renewable industry.
